Will anything come from this pile of socks?

This is Monk. He is my lifelong friend. He is 50 years old. I got him when I was 10. That makes me "gettin' on up there' as they say in Louisiana. He helped me in the making of Sock Monkey.
Introducing Sock Monkey. I think he is adorable!

I have finished Sock Monkey. It was a labor of love for my granddaughter and HARD TO GET HIS MOUTH SEWN ON TO LOOK CUTE! You wouldn't believe how his expressions would change just from little things I tried. The button eyes didn't work; I changed them to smaller eyes. The eyes were too close together; I moved them. I had his ears too big (don't monkeys have big ears?) but I made them smaller. I ripped off the mouth 10 times and by the time I was satisfied, it was the third "sock heel" I tried! I would get the mouth too high or too low. The monkey in the movie had a high white forehead! (probably part of his hat. I finally put a headband on Sock Monkey). Then a little hat I couldn't tell too much about from the picture. I really didn't think that the monkey was going to be cute. But he turned out really cute!!! She was delighted with him. I asked her what she would name him and she is thinking about it. I can't wait to hear what she picks!
The young and the old. I am so glad that Phoebe wanted a sock monkey. Why didn't I think of making them sooner for my grandchildren? I have several more to make. Monk has to say goodbye to Sock Monkey but they will visit.
